Jennifer R. Bolster is counsel in the Health Care Practice. She focuses her practice on advising health care providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic and treatment centers, physicians, physician practices, nurses, and other licensed health care providers on all aspects of health law.  Her experience includes advising providers in the following areas:

  • Physician transactions, including services agreements, practice acquisitions, and recruitment arrangements 
  • Third party payor agreements
  • Vendor/supplier agreements
  • Regulatory compliance issues including Anti-Kickback Law, Stark law,  False Claims Act and IRS tax exemption requirements
  • Compliance program development and implementation
  • Voluntary disclosures and audits of regulatory and reimbursement problems with  federal and state agencies
  • Patient/clinical care issues relating to treatment, confidentiality, health care decision-making, and medical records 
  • Medical Staff issues, including governance, corrective action and credentialing matters
  • Professional practice, licensing and disciplinary matters by state authorities for physicians and other licensed health care providers.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Bolster served as corporate counsel to a large federally-qualified health center system and its affiliated Medicaid managed care organization.

  • Serving as counsel to a federally qualified health center and its affiliated Medicaid managed care organization.
  • Assisted with representation of a health care provider in a major compliance self-disclosure with OIG and OMIG.
  • Advised various hospitals regarding Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations.
  • Represented various hospitals in medical staff corrective action proceedings.
  • Represented hospital in numerous third party payer contract negotiations.
  • Represented physician in disciplinary investigation by state authorities.
  • Advised various facilities with the development and implementation of corporate compliance programs, policies and procedures.
