Manuel A. Arroyo is counsel in the Corporate, Banking & Finance, and Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practices. He is also the Firm's Diversity Officer. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Arroyo founded and operated several businesses through which he gained extensive experience in both corporate and real estate transactions. Building on this broad business experience, he represents clients in matters involving business formations, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, commercial transactions and corporate/commercial litigation. Mr. Arroyo previously practiced Commercial Litigation and Corporate Law at the law firm of ShapiroCroland in New Jersey. He served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey while in law school.

  • Prosecuted copyright infringement litigation in appeal to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. 
  • Defended major real estate developer in an action for specific performance.
  • Effectively defended against a claim of conversion invoking the “Innocent Purchaser Defense” against top global recycler. 
  • Successfully represented contract manufacturer of licensed furniture distributor in dispute over alleged manufacturing flaws, implementing a winning theory under provisions of the U.C.C.
  • Represented New Jersey municipality in condemnation valuation case. 
  • Obtained summary judgment against the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and insurer on behalf of transportation company.
  • Obtained zoning redesignation for property owner before the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission.
  • Represented property owners in various land use applications and property tax appeals.
